Modi ji had been seeking votes from public in the name of the Ganga and now he is not realising that these protests are not voices of seers but of river Ganga itself.”"My son has become an inspiration for me now, and just like him, I will also sit on protest unless the Ganga Act for which all the seers laid down their lives comes into force. I want the state government and the Centre to tell me the whereabouts of my son.”Gopal Das is a native of Rajakheri village in Panipat, Haryana and elder of the two brothers and three sisters. He has done PhD in Environment sciences and left home around 15 years ago, according to his family members. The family has also alleged that they tried to sit on protest at Jantar Mantar demanding whereabouts of Gopal Das however, they were denied permission. “On December 5, a missing complaint was also lodged by Gopal Das's father, Shamsher Mallik with Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cannaught Place, South Delhi. Till date, we are not being given any information regarding the actual position.” alleged Shakuntla.According to the family members, Gopal Das was moved from AIIMS Delhi to Dehradun but no information regarding his movement was given to anyone due to which they are considering his last spotted location as Delhi, and not Dehradun. After the press conference by Shakuntla, the founder president of Matri Sadan, Swami Shri Shivanand Ji Mahraj, said: “It is a black day for us and it is also extremely painful that a mother has to sit on fast unto death to know the whereabout of his son.
