BEd TET teachers write letter to PM prez in their blood

Dehradun: Annoyed with amendments in their selection criteria, hundreds of BEd and TET qualified teachers who have been protesting at the education directorate office wrote a letter to PM Narendra Modi and president Ram Nath Kovind with their blood on Sunday. The teachers demanded that the government should follow the old selection criteria.Scores of teachers were seen drawing their blood using syringes and cutting their fingers with blades to write the letter urging the PM and president to “save our lives from getting destroyed.”Media in-charge of BEd-TET teachers’ association Arvind Rana told TOI that the teachers’ strike, which entered the 111th day on Sunday, has been seeing massive support of teachers from across Uttarakhand.
