Bus returning from Rahul Gandhi's rally turns turtle in Jaspur, 12 injured

RUDRAPUR: As many as 12 Congress workers returning from Congress national president Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Dehradun were injured when a bus carrying them turned turtle in Jaspur in Udham Singh Nagar district on Saturday. The driver fled from the spot.The bus carrying 23 passengers was returning from Rahul’s rally at Parade Ground. The bus overturned as the driver lost control while trying to avoid a speeding vehicle approaching from the opposite direction near Nadehi bridge. Police said that the injured were from Tanda and Gular Bhatti villages in Ramnagar in Nainital. While 10 of the injured at the community health centre were discharged after primary treatment, two have been kept under observation.
