Dehradun: Two people were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly murdering a property dealer in Premnagar area on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. Jai Karan Rautela, 48, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was found lying in a pool of blood along the road near Shuklapur primary school on Monday morning.According to senior superintendent of police (SSP) Nivedita Kukreti, two property dealers - Surjeet and Bablu Godiyal - were arrested for allegedly killing Rautela. “The victim was last seen with both of them,” said the SSP.She added, “The two were playing snooker with Rautela on March 15 when they had an argument over Rs 15 lakh that the latter owed them. Bablu left for home, got his pistol and shot Rautela multiple times.”“We have recovered the country-made pistol used in the murder. Both the accused are property dealers since 2012 and have an office at Smriti Nagar,” she said.Both have been booked under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 25 of the Arms Act.
