Lockdown lifted for Rakshabandhan in four cities of Uttarakhand

Due to continuous spike in cases in these districts, the weekend lockdown was imposed during which only personnel-related to essential services were allowed to move.

The mandatory weekend lockdown has been lifted for this Saturday and Sunday in Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and US Nagar. This exception in the lockdown is being made because of Raksha Bandhan.

Due to continuous spike in cases in these districts, the weekend lockdown was imposed during which only personnel related to essential services were allowed to move.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that during Rakshabandhan people tends to visit their relatives in the city, to avoid inconvenience to the people and businesses this decision was taken.
