Experiencing delays by PWD, locals themselves repair pot-hole riddled road

Even after several media reports, the administration did not addressed the problem of this road which was leading to a hospital and was leading to accidents among patients visiting the hospital.

The residents of Sahaspur Santur Kotda in Dehradun pooled in funds themselves to fill potholes in their locality which could have lead to a big disastrous fatal accident.

Even after several media reports, the administration did not addressed the problem of this road which was leading to a hospital and was leading to accidents among patients visiting the hospital.

One of the resident said, “We finally decided to take matters into our own hands, in the interest of residents and commuters. The potholes could have severely injured people, especially during the monsoon. The authorities would have taken several more months to act.”

A Public Works Department (PWD) official, said that the roads will be repaired once the monsoon ends. “The potholes that were filled by the locals will be paved properly.”
