The Mussoorie-Dehradun road is expected to be close for repair work from 3 pm on Thursday till 7 am o Friday. This is being done to undertake the repair of a 50 meter stretch of road that had caved in on Monday evening.

Pushpendra Kumar, junior engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) said that earlier it was decided to close the road on Wednesday evening but due to rainfall, the decision to repair the road had to be postponed to Thursday.

“The administration has now decided to close the road from 3 pm on Thursday till about 7 am on Friday to enable us to make some repairs to the road so that at least one vehicle at a time is able to pass on this damaged stretch of the road,” Kumar said.

He, however, added that in case there is rainfall on Thursday, then the decision to close the road may be further postponed.
