Uttarakhand reports over fresh COVID cases, 11 deaths

The number of total COVID cases in Uttarakhand reached 93,961 with  184 new cases being reported in the state on Tuesday.

The number of total COVID cases in Uttarakhand reached 93,961 with  184 new cases being reported in the state on Tuesday.

Eleven patients succumbed to COVID here in the last 24 hours taking the total number of fatalities to 1,589.

Abhishek Tripathi from COVID-19 control room informed TOI that 12,587 samples tested negative on Tuesday while among the 184 positive cases, 89 cases were reported from Dehradun alone.

“Nainital reported 43 new COVID-19 cases followed by 18 in Haridwar, 9 in Udham Singh Nagar, 6 in Pauri, 4 each in Almora and Uttarkashi, 3 in Tehri, 2 each in Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Chamoli, and 1 each in Pithoragarh and Champawat,” Tripathi added.

Among the 11 CCOVID deaths, 4 patients died at Sushila Tiwari Medical College Haldwani, 1 at AIIMS Rishikesh, 2 at Doon Medical College, 2 at Kailash Hospital, 1 at Sri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, and 1 at Kashipur’s Ujala Hospital. The death rate in the state has increased to 1.6%.
