Employees` organizations thanked the government for this order. Secretariat Association President Deepak Joshi said that the organization met the Chief Secretary on Tuesday and orders were made immediately thereafter. This order will also be implemented for the Group B category.
Except for departments with essential services in government offices, 50% attendance will be limited on a rotation basis. Chief Secretary Omprakash has ordered this. Pregnant women and women workers with children less than ten years old can be called to the office only in unavoidable conditions. The same rules will also apply to workers over 55 and seriously ill. Employees can be called if necessary. The orders will apply to employees of Group C and D in government offices. 50 percent attendance in these offices will be on a rotation basis. The Chief Secretary has directed that, as far as possible, meetings should be conducted only through video conferencing. If this is not possible, then these meetings should be kept to a minimum.
