Corona infection has definitely increased, but the government at present is not in favor of lockdown in the state. However, strict compliance with the guidelines issued in view of the prevention of infection will be ensured. This was agreed upon in an informal meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat. It was also decided to ban public programs in the state to prevent overcrowding. Apart from this, it was decided to keep the maximum number of people 50 to attend the wedding ceremonies. Government spokesman and cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal confirmed this.

The state cabinet meeting called on Thursday was postponed in view of the increasing cases of Corona. It was then decided to hold an informal meeting of the Council of Ministers and discuss the condition of the corona conference. Earlier, the Chief Minister discussed with experts the measures to deal with corona infection. In this, medical experts suggested that at least 10 days of corona curfew should be imposed in the state of control of the situation. In the evening in the informal meeting of the Council of Ministers held in the Chief Minister`s Camp Office, there was intense discussion on the condition of Corona in the state. According to government spokesperson and cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal, it was decided that the government will not do the lockdown at the moment. However, Strict adherence to the guidelines issued to prevent corona will be ensured.
