Rs 10 crore for capacity addition of state medical colleges in Uttarakhand

The CM added to take special care of the oxygen supply in the hospitals of the state.

In view of the uncontrolled spread of coronavirus infection in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 10 crore from the Chief Minister Relief Fund for increasing and strengthening the capacity of state medical colleges hospitals.

One Crore rupee was sanctioned from the Chief Minister`s Relief Fund for providing four masks free of cost to the people who did not wear masks in the state. This amount has been placed on the withdrawal of the Director-General of Police.

Chief Minister also to Homoeopathic Medical Services for distribution of Arsenicum album and other safety-related materials for rescue and other essential medicines based on symptoms to the Corona warriors working on the forefront to effectively deal with the present conditions of Corona infection.

Apart from this, an amount of Rs. 4.64 crore is also received from the Chief Minister`s Relief Fund for purchasing AYUSH Raksha Kits, setting up AYUSH desks at the state and district levels, purchasing Covid security material, and operating AYUSH chariots at the district headquarters.

1 crore each to the District Magistrate of Chamoli and Udhamsingh Nagar as per their demand for various works related to prevention and relief from corona infection.

He said that there is a great need for oxygen in the Corona period and every problem of his will be diagnosed. He said that in the current circumstances of Covid, the responsibility of Oxygen plant companies increases more.
