Actually, vaccination of 18-44 age group in Uttarakhand started on May 10. So far, four lakh 64 thousand 837 persons of this age group have been vaccinated in the state. A few days back the vaccination of this age group was stalled due to a lack of vaccine.

Vaccination has started again, but young people who have been vaccinated in the initial phase are worrying for the second dose. The reason is that the stock of Covaccine is limited and at present only people in this age group are getting Covishield. Let us tell you that the second dose of Covaccine takes between 28 and 42 days. In such a situation, the youth are under stress about when they will be able to get the next dose. However, the health department has now found a solution to this problem.

District Immunization Officer Dr. Rajiv Dixit says that it is our priority to give second dose to those who have got the first dose. Arrangements have been made for this. 29 thousand doses of Covaccine are available in the district. Right now only the second dose of Covaccine will be administered. The first dose will be discontinued for some time. For the second dose, youth can book slots on the Covin portal.
