Dehradun: In a bid to woo industrialists during the Global Investors Summit roadshow in Mumbai on Monday, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasised the potential for a mutually beneficial relationship. He said while Mumbai is the countrys economic capital, Uttarakhand is the spiritual capital and both can complement each other."There is a need for coordination and partnership between the two destinations as the combination of technology and management skills with spiritual peace and mental stability is the most important requirement for the progress of any nation," he said.He added that Uttarakhand has set a target of doubling its Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in the next five years and the government is making the state an investors paradise. He invited Mumbais industrialists to the summit on December 8 and 9.On Thursday, the first day of his three-day visit to Mumbai, MoUs worth Rs 30,200 crore were signed with several companies. So far, MoUs worth Rs 1 lakh crore have been signed with various industrial groups for investment in Uttarakhand at roadshows in the country and abroad. Lalit Goswami, president, Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture, said, We welcome pro-industry policies of the Uttarakhand government and are very keen to set up industries in the hill state. Dhami assured Mumbaikars his government has enhanced the ease of doing business in Uttarakhand.
