As the Aam Aadmi Party government completes three years in power on Wednesday, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal promised free WiFi in the city, better roads and drains in unauthorised colonies and the building of 900 ‘mohalla clinics’. He said whichever department digs up roads in the city will have to repair it irrespective of the land-owning agency. He also said 900 ‘mohalla clinics’ would be set up soon and 120 polyclinics would be ready in some months. “We will try to complete roads and drains in the Kachhi colonies in the next one year,” he said.

Talking about the city’s air pollution, which has been in news due to stubble burning from neighbouring states and industrial activities, the CM pledged steps to control dust contaminating the air.

On anti-corruption movement, which is a major election plank of the Aam Aadmi Party, launched in 2012, the CM said in the last three years, cases of corruption in the national capital have come down as the people elected an “honest government”.

In a separate video message, Kejriwal said in the last three years there has been a drop in the corruption, because three years ago the people of Delhi elected an honest government.”

The chief minister said there will be massive investment in the next one year on construction and repair of roads. “We will try to complete roads and drains in the Kachhi colonies in the next one year,” he said.

He said whichever department digs up roads in the city will have to repair it irrespective of the land-owning agency.

He also said he had met Lt Governor Anil Baijal in this regard and both he and the government are on the same page.
