more-in Two men were arrested on Tuesday and a 16-year-old juvenile apprehended for allegedly murdering a 21-year-old, the police said on Wednesday. Vikas, Deepak and the juvenile are accused of murdering Sandeep Singh, whose charred body was found in a vacant plot in Dwarka Sector 7 on February 14. Love as motive Vikas allegedly murdered Sandeep after he discovered that his love interest and the victim were getting close to each other. An unidentified burnt body was found in Dwarka on February 14. The police showed the photograph of the deceased to various shopkeepers, mechanics and residents, and at petrol pumps but in vain. CCTV footage from nearby areas was also analysed. Missing complaints “We got a lead from the missing persons’ complaints. The victim was identified as Sandeep, who had gone missing on February 13,” said police officer. Many suspects were interrogated and the police learnt that Sandeep was last seen with Vikas. He was apprehended, as were his two associates. “During interrogation, Vikas said his friend started ignoring him and he suspected that she was getting close to Sandeep. So, Vikas decided to kill him. On February 13, he took Sandeep to Dwarka Sector 7 on the pretext of consuming liquor. The trio allegedly murdered Sandeep, set his body on fire to conceal his identity and fled the spot,” said a police officer.
