The AAP, however, said that this was not done as an acceptance of making “false allegations” against Mr. Majithia or other leaders but a strategy to get the over 20 defamation cases against their leaders quashed. Another AAP MLA from Punjab, Kanwar Sandhu, also said that the State leaders were not consulted before making such a move. “Arvind Kejriwal’ apology to Bikram Majithia in the defamation case on drugs is a let down to the people, especially the youth of Punjab. We in Punjab have not been taken into the loop. Our fight for Punjab continues,” [sic] he tweeted. In another tweet he said, “If you stand for truth, facing defamation cases is a way of life. I am still facing defamation filed by Punjab cable mafia. Will fight it to the end.” Mr. Khaira, also said that they will make a press statement regarding Mr. Kejriwal’s apology on Friday.
