Newly appointed Congress president Rahul Gandhi has finally fulfilled what many social media enthusiasts on Twitter were asking him from a very long time. He was frequently asked to change his Twitter name.

Earlier his Twitter name was `OfficeofRG` and now he has changed it to `RahulGandhi`.

On most occasions people disliked or criticized the name `OfficeofRG`

Meanwhile, Gandhi tweeted this morning from his handle, “Welcome delegates and distinguished guests to the #CongressPlenary. Over the next two days, I look forward to interacting with you and to sharing experiences and perspectives that will together help us build a stronger, more vibrant Congress party. Jai Hind.

Gandhi, joined Twitter in 2015, has been using his account focusing primarily on political issues and has been targeting the Narendra Modi-led government on several development issues. He has been raising an anti-incumbency voice against the Centre.

Rahul also took to Twitter a number of times to criticise recent economic reforms such as the much talked demonetisation drive and the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which, he also pronounced as Gabbar Singh Tax.

The plenary session of the Congress in the national capital today is Rahul Gandhi’s first as the party chief and will shape up the party’s vision for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
