CBI books five for human trafficking

New Delhi, April 3The CBI registered a case against five accused, residents of Delhi and Punjab, on the allegations of attempted human trafficking of 11 teenage boys to the USA under the garb of an educational trip. All the teenage boys were allegedly shown as students of a school in Punjab. The accused allegedly took lakhs of rupees from the families of each of boys for sending them to USA. The accused were identified as Rachna David of Jalandhar, Sandeep Singh Luthra, Amit Jyot Singh, Rohit Gauba and Anshika Matharu, all from Delhi. One of the accused, who was to escort the group of the boys to USA, was shown as the principal of the same school.

New Delhi, April 3 The CBI registered a case against five accused, residents of Delhi and Punjab, on the allegations of attempted human trafficking of 11 teenage boys to the USA under the garb of an educational trip. The accused were identified as Rachna David of Jalandhar, Sandeep Singh Luthra, Amit Jyot Singh, Rohit Gauba and Anshika Matharu, all from Delhi. The CBI also carried out searches at five places in Delhi and one place in Punjab, including residential and official premises of the accused, which led to recovery of incriminating documents and articles. The CBI alleged that the accused submitted false and fabricated documents to the US Embassy for obtaining non-immigrant visa for the said 11 boys and one of the accused. All the teenage boys were allegedly shown as students of a school in Punjab. One of the accused, who was to escort the group of the boys to USA, was shown as the principal of the same school. The accused allegedly took lakhs of rupees from the families of each of boys for sending them to USA. – TNS
