more-in A 37-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by four others in south-east Delhi’s Badarpur on Tuesday night, the police said on Wednesday. One of the three accused sustained injuries in the incident, the police said, adding that one man has been arrested in connection with the case. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) Chinmoy Biswal said Gautampuri resident Ashok was allegedly murdered by Anil, Nitin and Vishal. The family alleged that the two parties, who are neighbours, have been at loggerheads over a number of issues, including foul language, troubling women belonging to the other family and parking. Neighbours’ fight “On Tuesday evening, there was a fight between Ashok and Anil’s families over parking of a motorcycle by the victim’s family member. Ashok’s mother got injured in the fight and was taken to a hospital for first aid,” said a neighbour. However, Mr. Biswal said the police were unaware of the parking incident. “We were told that the fight was over Ashok using foul language,” he said. Around 11 p.m., brother Anil and Nitin came home drunk while Ashok was standing with his brother-in-law Rajinder. “They got into an argument, after which Anil called his son Vishal and brother Mithun, and asked them to get a knife. As the argument grew violent, Vishal stabbed Ashok multiple times,” said Mr. Biswal. The police were informed and Ashok was taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared brought dead. Nitin was also stabbed in the fight. Mr. Biswal said they are yet to verify how Nitin got injured, though sources said it is suspected he inflicted the injury on himself to frame Ashok’s family. The police have registered a murder case and arrested Mithun.
