Neighbours stab man after tiff over parking space in Badarpur

A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death by his neighbours after an argument over parking a motor-cycle erupted between them in South-East Delhi's Badarpur area late on Tuesday night. The sister of the victim is an eye-witness to the case and their mother was also injured in the scuffle. During the inquiry, it came to the fore that the quarrel took place among the deceased and Anil and Nitin. "The matter was initially sorted but in the meantime, Nitin and his brother Mithun came back along with Vishal. Babita further said that she was getting ready to reach the hospital as her mother had fractured her hand and meanwhile the neighbours returned.

The sister of the victim is an eye-witness to the case and their mother was also injured in the scuffle. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Ashok alias Sanjay. He was the sole bread-winner of the family as his younger brother had passed away and he was not just taking care of his children but his brother's children as well. Explaining what led to the fight happened, Ashok's sister Babita said, "It all happened around 10:30 pm when a fight between us and the neighbours broke out over the bike being parked at a specific place. The fight turned ugly and my mother was thrashed with sticks. The police were informed who came and settled the matter and rushed my mother to the hospital." Babita further said that she was getting ready to reach the hospital as her mother had fractured her hand and meanwhile the neighbours returned. "Around seven of them including women caught hold of him and stabbed him five times. I ran to save him but he was bleeding by then," she said. Another person identified as Nitin was also injured in the scuffle. The police officials said that the quarrel started near Bijli Ghar, Gautampuri in Badarpur. Blood stains were present on the ground. During the inquiry, it came to the fore that the quarrel took place among the deceased and Anil and Nitin. "The matter was initially sorted but in the meantime, Nitin and his brother Mithun came back along with Vishal. Vishal repeatedly stabbed Ashok. A case of murder has been registered at the Badarpur police station.
