Locals demand police presence

A grocery store owner said, “Everything happened in front of me. Following the firing in Burari on Monday which killed two passers-by and left three others injured, the locals of Sant Nagar market are scared for their safety. Demanding police presence, an eatery owner, Ramnath Chaurasia (42), said, “Burari police station is only two km away but there are hardly any officers patrolling in the area. After the incident, we feel more unsafe,” he said. I was so scared that I went inside and pulled down the shutter down.”The residents alleged that often the people use knives at each other in the area but the incidents go unreported.
