Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Minister Satyendar Jain discharged from hospital

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Health Minister Satyendar Jain were on Tuesday morning discharged from the LNJP Hospital, where they were admitted after their health deteriorated due to a fast they began last week. On Sunday night, Mr. Jain was shifted to the hospital, followed by Mr. Sisodia on Monday morning. While in hospital, Mr. Sisodia tweeted at 8.46 a.m.: "Good Morning! Yesterday, my ketone level was 7.4 & BP reached 184/100, which was leading to renal failure. Medical Superintendent of the LNJP Hospital J.C. Passey said, “Both the Ministers were discharged around 10 a.m. Their health parameters, including ketone level in urine, are normal now.”(With inputs from PTI)

Both had been on hunger strike since June 13 and June 12 at Raj Niwas, where they were staging a sit-in since June 11 to demand an end to what they call a strike by government officers. On Sunday night, Mr. Jain was shifted to the hospital, followed by Mr. Sisodia on Monday morning. On being discharged, they have gone back to their respective homes, Aam Aadmi Party sources said. While in hospital, Mr. Sisodia tweeted at 8.46 a.m.: "Good Morning!!With Doctor's care and your blessings, I am recovering fast. Yesterday, my ketone level was 7.4 & BP reached 184/100, which was leading to renal failure. But now everything is under control. If doctors allow I'll try to be back to work today only." Medical Superintendent of the LNJP Hospital J.C. Passey said, “Both the Ministers were discharged around 10 a.m. Their health parameters, including ketone level in urine, are normal now.” (With inputs from PTI)
