NEW DELHI: South Delhi Municipal Corporation ( SDMC ) has proposed to provide subsidised dialysis facilities at select health centres, which was cleared by the standing committee on Thursday. "Health facilities are visited by the poorest patients. Each centre would have four machines and cater to four patients daily. Those with limited means find it difficult to meet such expenditure, especially with conditions like chronic kidney failure where patients require dialysis two to three times a week as a single procedure costs around Rs 2,500. The machines would be installed under public-private partnership.
