Two bootleggers nabbed by Delhi Police in two separate cases

The Delhi Police arrested two bootleggers, who were accused of smuggling liquor in the Delhi-NCR area, in two separate incidents, on Sunday. Forty-six cartoons of Haryana Liquor has been recovered from the accused. According to the police, the accused was on the way to smuggle the liquor from Gurugram to Delhi, in a car, when he was intercepted. In a similar incident at Jaitpur, a man was apprehended by the Delhi Police, on the basis of a tip-off. The accused Amit is a school dropout and has been working for a woman who supplied him with the liquor and the recovered car.

According to the police, the accused was on the way to smuggle the liquor from Gurugram to Delhi, in a car, when he was intercepted. Twenty- eight cartoons of Haryana Liquor, comprising of 432 bottles of Besto Whisky, 144 bottles of Officer's Choice whiskey, and 192 bottles of Kingfisher beer were recovered from the car. On further interrogation, it was found that the accused, Prashant is a native of Gurugram and a school dropout. He also added in order to mislead the police, the accused changed the number plate of the stolen car. In a similar incident at Jaitpur, a man was apprehended by the Delhi Police, on the basis of a tip-off. The police seized a Hyundai i10 car and on further interrogation, 750 quarters of Asli Santra Masaledar whiskey and 144 quarters of Besto whiskey for sale in Haryana were found in the car. The accused Amit is a school dropout and has been working for a woman who supplied him with the liquor and the recovered car. The police are making efforts to trace her.
