Woman found dead husband held

NEW DELHI: A 27-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her house in northwest Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh. The woman’s husband has been arrested for dowry death based on a preliminary probe and allegations of her family.DCP (northwest) Aslam Khan said that the victim has been identified as Balwinder. She got married to Jaspal (30) in 2012 and since the marriage is less than seven years old, the area SDM has been intimated about the incident and an independent inquiry has been initiated.A preliminary probe revealed that the woman was found lying in her washroom and was taken to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. The autopsy report is awaited to ascertain the exact cause of death but doctors told police that the body bore injury marks.The woman’s father, Gurmeet, told police that soon after his daughter’s wedding, differences emerged between the couple and the victim’s family had to intervene to solve their disputes.
