The three injured children are undergoing treatment at the hospital. Vaibhav, the eldest of the siblings injured in the collapse, told police that his father owned the house and he was born there. Due to leakage of water, the iron rods which gave support to the roof had become weak. A layer of bricks was placed on the roof to stop the leakage. However, the iron rods could not take the load of the roof, leading to the collapse, an official said. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for a post-mortem.
