Bharadwaj said the victim had gone to Malviya Nagar Police station with a CCTV recording of the assault, where he was told to wait for 2 hours and even after that the police did not register the complaint. Bharadwaj’s remarks came as he talked about a case where a senior citizen, Santosh Kumar Gupta (who narrated the incidence to Bharadwaj) was beaten and threatened by BJP’s local Lok Sabha leader Suraj Chauhan (husband of BJP councilor candidate Pratibha Chauhan) and his driver Ravi in August this year.
