Girl dead, eight injured as SUV rams into several vehicles in outer Delhi

A 16-year-old girl died and eight people were injured after the driver of an SUV lost control and rammed it into several other vehicles near the Meera Bagh traffic signal in outer Delhi on Wednesday, the police said. The Fortuner SUV hit a cycle, a scooter, a motorcycle, a rickshaw and then a mini-bus before it came to a halt, they added. The police said CCTV cameras installed in the area are being scanned to ascertain the exact sequence of events. After the accident, passersby rushed to the site and tried to rescue the people injured.
