Often regarded as an anti-hindutva artist, TM Krishna, on Saturday, started his musical concert with a musical piece referring to all gods. He mentioned Ram, Rahim, Allah, Yeshu, Vishnu, and Purushottam. Krishna's concert had been a issue ever since original sponsors of his event, AAI, had postponed the event. However, the concert was organised after the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister invited Krishna to perform on the same day. The performance was organised at The Garden of Five Senses in Saket and saw a good audience. Krishna, before starting his performance, said, "Spirit of the day transformed over few days. Keeping the spirit, we'll try and bring multiple languages, multiple genres and multiple religions to the concept." Lauding the spirit of the audience at the opening of the concert, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, "Country belongs to everyone, every caste, every religion, every section. A very strong message has been sent by Delhiites today." The concert, named as 'Awam ki Awaz', is the second part of a series the AAP government organises to encourage free speech and dissent. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said, "We have been organising the concert for two years. This one is also special as we managed to pull it off in such a short duration." In a statement issued on Wednesday, the AAI said, "We would like to inform that due to some urgent engagements, 'Dance and Music in the Park' programme, jointly organised by the AAI, and SPIC MACAY, scheduled on November 17 and 18, 2018 has been postponed and new dates would be announced shortly."
