Gang loots Rs 10 lakh from businessman in Old Delhi

NEW DELHI: Police are on the lookout for a gang of four robbers , who barged into the storeroom of a garments dealer in Chandni Chowk and decamped with Rs 10 lakh after holding the workers at gunpoint.According to the police, the incident took place on Wednesday night. The complainant, Surender Parik (26), told the cops that a few days before the incident, his employer had kept Rs 10 lakh cash in a safe located in a room on the fourth floor. The robbers told the men to move to a corner and asked about the money.After locating the safe, three robbers tried to break it open while the fourth accused threatened the workers with a gun. Before fleeing with the cash, the accused took the phones of Parik and his colleagues and locked them from outside.Investigating teams suspect the role of an insider and are compiling a list of current and former employees of the firm to ascertain their role in it.
