Arvind Kejriwal cancels government events after suicide bombing

In a message condemning Thursday’s terror attack, Kejriwal said: “Our brave CRPF brothers have lost their lives in a brutal and cowardly attack by terrorists. The AAP also held a gathering at its office here to pay homage to the CRPF personnel and Kejriwal also went to the airport to pay respects to the troopers. New Delhi: Extending support to the Central government and the armed forces, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday cancelled all public programmes of the Delhi government as a mark of respect to the CRPF personnel killed in a suicide bombing in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama. Entire country is in grief and there is tremendous anger among the people on this highly condemnable and cowardly act. We are ready for any cooperation to deal with this dastardly attack.”Apart from Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other Cabinet Ministers also cancelled all their public engagements as a mark of respect.

The AAP also held a gathering at its office here to pay homage to the CRPF personnel and Kejriwal also went to the airport to pay respects to the troopers. In a message condemning Thursday’s terror attack, Kejriwal said: “Our brave CRPF brothers have lost their lives in a brutal and cowardly attack by terrorists. Entire country is in grief and there is tremendous anger among the people on this highly condemnable and cowardly act. “We salute the martyrs and we stand firmly with their families. The government and people of Delhi are fully with the Central government at this hour and we support whatever action the Central government and our armed forces deem fit. We are ready for any cooperation to deal with this dastardly attack.” Apart from Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other Cabinet Ministers also cancelled all their public engagements as a mark of respect. Kejriwal cancelled the inauguration of the new office building of District Magistrate (West), the inaugural programme of the replacement of old sewer line in Basti Hazrat Nizamuddin and also the inauguration of DUSIB toilet block at Moti Nagar, the government said in a statement. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia axed the inaugural programme of seven new world class skill centres in Dwarka and the inauguration of 32nd Garden Festival organised by Delhi Tourism at Garden of Five Senses.
