ATM robbery mastermind identified Noida police

Nanhe was handed over to the police.Police suspect that the accused carried with him some of the wads of cash looted from the ATM.Each wad usually consists of 100 notes of Rs 2,000 denomination.SP (city) Sudha Singh told TOI that the accused carried some of the cash with him while a part of the money has been taken away by some pedestrians after the robbers fell from the bike.Noting that ATMs should be guarded by armed gunmen and not mere caretakers as reported by TOI on Thursday, Singh added that a meeting will soon be called with the banks.Police said that after a meeting was held with the bank officials in December last year, a mail was sent by Noida police to all the banks asking them to ensure that required security arrangements be strengthened but it didn't receive any response.Police are now contemplating to even get the ATMs sealed which are not complying with any of the security norms.“In case, there are no security norms to be followed, that option will be explored.
