Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to grant the conditional bail to BJP youth worker Priyanka Sharma on tendering a written apology for putting an objectionable picture of Mamta Banerjee on Social Media.

BJP leader had moved to the supreme court on Monday who was arrested on Friday for allegedly sharing the edited picture of Mamta Banerjee.

Priyanka Sharma is accused of sharing a morphed picture of West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, whose face was placed over the original picture of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra`s picture of MET Gala event in New York City.

Priyanka`s mother has earlier claimed that her daughter`s arrest was politically motivated.

PM Modi and Mamta Banerjee have exchanged sharp words against each other in the ongoing Lok Sabha election campaign.

9 seats in Bengal will go for voting in the last phase of election on May 19. Results of all the seats will be declared on May 23.
