The biggest day has arrived, as the two rivals, India and Pakistan are ready to face each other at Old Trafford cricket ground today.  Fans from both the sides take this game to another level. The most interesting of all is that whenever India & Pakistan meet each other, father-son connection is widely circulated around social media.

Father’s Day jokes and wishes from both the sides have been in trend for some years now. However, this perfectly timed World Cup match between the two has made the Father’s Day 2019 match the talk of the town.

This is not the first time that two biggest rivals are facing each other on Father`s Day, before this India and Pakistan played Champions Trophy match on June 18, 2017, on Fathers Day.

This Father-son connection gets ignition from the social media and this time too fans have followed the same trend on this big day. But this time it caught fire after Start sports came out with similar advertisement. The ad that was widely circulated over  social media platforms posed India as father and Pakistan as a son.  The remaining was well managed by Indian fans.

Why India is posed as father and Pakistan as son?

The answer to this question lies in one of the biggest historical events of both the nations, partition. Pakistan originated from India when partition took place , there was no nation called Pakistan  before 1947. And that is why it is believed that Pakistan was born from India. This is one of the reasons why India is considered as father and Pakistan as a son.

The connection was first established with cricket  by India’s very own, Virender Sehwag in 2017 and since then the trend has continued over the years and as both the teams are going to meet a second time on Father`s Day in their crucial matches this is going to an unofficial connection supported by ICC
