DCW rescues girl from brother s brutality

New Delhi: The Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) on Tuesday claimed that it rescued a 20-year-old girl from the tortures of her younger brother in Dwarka. The Delhi Police, in their media statement, stated that the girl does not want any legal action against her brother. According to DCW, the girl Sharmila (name changed) recently bought a suit worth Rs 100 which angered her younger brother terribly. Strictest action needs to be taken against him. According to DCW, the girl Sharmila (name changed) recently bought a suit worth Rs 100 which angered her younger brother terribly. In a fit of rage, he brutally assaulted her and punctured her eyes. DCW Chief Swati Maliwal has issued summons to the concerned SHO urging action against the boy. "This brother has behaved with the most unimaginable brutality with his sister. His acts were most barbaric and animal like. Strictest action needs to be taken against him. Strictest action needs to be taken against him," said DCW chief. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police said," As per doctor the eyes of the injured girl are fine and she was already discharged from hospital on August 12."
