Over 20K security forces guard Capital on Independence Day

New Delhi: More than 20,000 security personnel have been deployed across the city for the Independence Day celebrations.
According to Delhi Police, they have given training of soft skills to lower rank personnel who will interact with guests who come to Red Fort area.
They will guide guests and other residents going towards North Delhi's Red Fort area," said DCP Central.
Sources said that Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, in a recent meeting, reviewed the security measures taken by districts for Independence Day.
Police said that elaborate traffic arrangements around Red Fort have been made.
