Gym owner beaten to death by friend

Greater Noida: A 40-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his friend after he demanded back money which was borrowed by the accused. in Badalpur village of Greater Noida on Monday night, said police. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Mintu, a gym owner at Dharmapura village in Badalpur area. Police officials said that on Monday evening, Mintu's friend Veer Singh Kasana, a resident of Defence Colony area had called him to his house to have drinks together. Accused Veer Singh Kasana has been arrested while efforts are being made to nab others as well," said Patnish Kumar, SHO of Badalpur police station.

Police officials said that on Monday evening, Mintus friend Veer Singh Kasana, a resident of Defence Colony area had called him to his house to have drinks together. "Both of them were having drinks together but a feud broke out between them after a couple of drinks and Kasana thrashed Mintu with sticks and iron rod. He hit him multiple times in his head, back and shoulder. Later when he saw him bleeding profusely he escaped from the spot. However, a few locals spotted him lying unconscious in a pool blood on the floor and raised an alarm. Police took him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead," said a senior police officer. Meanwhile police have registered a case against four persons in connection with the incident. "A local person informed Mintus family and police about the incident. The body was sent for post mortem. An FIR was registered against four persons including three unidentified men. Accused Veer Singh Kasana has been arrested while efforts are being made to nab others as well," said Patnish Kumar, SHO of Badalpur police station.
