EOW books Religare its promoters in fraud case

New Delhi: The Economic offences wing (EOW) of Delhi Police has booked Religare Enterprises and its promoters Malvinder Mohan Singh and Shivinder Mohan Singh in a case of cheating. Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) OP Mishra told Millennium Post that they have registered a case in this regard and further investigation is going on. The complainant in the case told police that they were duped of their money on the pretext of false promise to sell land concealing prior charges. According to police, they have booked three companies and its directors and officials in the alleged fraud case. A case under sections 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) ,420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) was registered at EOW police station.

The complainant in the case told police that they were duped of their money on the pretext of false promise to sell land concealing prior charges. According to police, they have booked three companies and its directors and officials in the alleged fraud case. The complaint was filed by one Nakul Goel who is the authorised representative of the private company. The complainant company, in this case, engaged in the financing activities to include and support dealing in the business of sale and purchase of properties. The complainant told police that during July 2016, the suspects in the case lured their company into investing an amount of Rs 75 crores in properties and lands situated at the revenue estate of village Gadaipur in Mehrauli. Later, they came to know that the properties were encumbered by way of prior charge having been created in favour of a private bank. A case under sections 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) ,420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) was registered at EOW police station.
