New Delhi: A man died after he was thrown from the height of almost 45 feet by his wifes paramour in East Patel Nagar. Police have arrested the accused and deceaseds wife for hatching conspiracy of her husbands murder. Police identified the accused as Arjun Mandal and a 30-year-old woman. Deceased Dayaram was thrown from a terrace after a drinking session with Mandal in an under-construction building on October 16. "Duo planned to eliminate the deceased who was an obstacle in their illegitimate relationship," police said. Deceaseds body was recovered on October 17 from the shaft of a house in East Patel Nagar. Deputy Commissioner of Police (central) Mandeep Singh Randhawa said that during CDR analysis of mobile phones of deceased and his wife, one mobile number was common and the deceased had last called on the same number. The user of this number was identified to be of Arjun, who was a close associate of deceased Daya Ram and his wife. He was also traced and interrogated. "It was revealed that the deceaseds wife had extramarital affairs with accused Arjun for the last three years. Both were planning to eliminate their barrier Daya Ram for the past few months," said DCP Central. Police said that to execute their plan, accused Arjun called Daya Ram at Patel Nagar Metro Station at the instance of the woman. He offered deceased Daya Ram for drinks. Subsequently, they purchased whisky. "Arjun took him to the terrace of an under-construction building in East Patel Nagar at about 7.00 pm where they took drinks," police said. Later he pushed Daya Ram from stairs on the rooftop in the shaft of open lift hole and the deceased succumbed to the injuries. Arjun even took out Daya Rams mobile phone from his pocket and threw its battery in the shaft. After that, Arjun handed over the mobile phone to his lover. He also threw his blood-stained slippers and cloths in Karol Bagh.
