Fraud Family members of former aide of union minister booked

Ghaziabad: The wife, daughter and another family member of a former aide of Union minister and Ghaziabad MP, Gen VK Singh (retd), have been booked on Sunday for allegedly cheating and trying to extort money from a local businessman in Ghaziabad. According to police, the accused have been identified as Manjuri Singh wife of SP Singh and daughter Arushi Singh, both residents of Greater Kailash in Delhi and basically originate from Balia. "SP Singh, who was arrested by Sihani Gate few months ago also duped me for the same work of Rs 5 lakh. However, the truth is that SP Singh gave me a letter of the post of President on fake letter pad of FASII. They also threatened me with dire consequences if I will not pay them Rs 10 lakh," he added.

Satendra Tomar, the complainant said that he is a member of the Federation of Association of Small Industries of India (FASII) and all the accused have tried to dupe him with Rs 10 lakhs in the name of giving the post of the President of FASII. "SP Singh, who was arrested by Sihani Gate few months ago also duped me for the same work of Rs 5 lakh. When he failed to fulfill his promise then I made a police complaint and later he was arrested by the police," said Tomar. "On October 9, SP Singhs wife and his daughter had stopped me in Ghaziabad court and told me that because of Singh, I was made president of FASII. However, the truth is that SP Singh gave me a letter of the post of President on fake letter pad of FASII. They also threatened me with dire consequences if I will not pay them Rs 10 lakh," he added.
