Air quality in Gururgam likely to deteriorate

Gurugram: The air quality levels in Gurugram will remain at unhealthy levels during the election day on Monday. There will be a high concentration of particulate matters of 10 microns and even more dangerous 2.5 microns. The PM10 will be hovering at the levels of 470 -500 micrograms per cubic that are five times its safe limit of 100. The more dangerous levels of PM2.5 will also be very high with a high concentration of 250 -270 micrograms per cubic meter. Besides these two pollutants, high amount of pollutants discharged from automobiles, industries, and construction material and diesel generators also ensures there is a high presence of Nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide.
