2 men held at IGIA for smuggling iPhones and gold

New Delhi: The customs officials at Delhi Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport have arrested two persons for allegedly trying to smuggle gold and two iPhone into the country. According to customs, on October 20 two Indian male passengers arrived at T-3 at IGI airport from Dubai were intercepted after they had crossed the green channel. Joint Commissioner of Customs Niranjan CC said that two iPhone Pro Max having a market value of Rs 2,27,800 and four pouches of yellow colour paste weighing 3,559 grams which on further extraction resulted in the recovery of 2,051 grams of gold having a market value of Rs 78,11,233 lakh were recovered from the turban of the passengers.
