New Delhi: Tears, photographs and protest were witnessed at the LNJP hospital on a day after Anaj Mandi inferno killing more than 43 people and leaving 16 people injured. According to police, 26 postmortems were conducted on Monday. From the early morning, relatives, friends of the deceased reached the postmortem house of LNJP hospital. Media personnel along with the cameras were also present at the spot. The relatives were holding photographs of their loved whom they lost in the blaze. A group of women were also crying on the spot. Of the 43 people who died in the fire on Sunday morning, many were migrant workers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. They remained trapped inside the building since they were asleep when the fire broke out. According to the relatives, their family members had come to Delhi to earn money for their family members who were living in other states. Yakub and his brother Zaheer came to Delhi a few months ago and were working in the factory. "Their poverty forced them to come to Delhi and now they are not with us," said Tabrez, their relative. Meanwhile, chaotic scenes prevailed during the autopsy of the victims of the Anaj Mandi fire incident. The family members said they were confused about how to transport the bodies of their relatives back home. Family members and relatives also had a heated exchange with hospital authorities on the issue. They say it is difficult for them to transport the bodies in trains. The Bihar government has decided to send the bodies of the states residents home by road instead of the train. Kumar Digvijay, joint labour commissioner, Bihar government said that the Bihar government is bearing all the expenses of the ambulances carrying bodies. "Two bodies were sent today. Rest will be sent on Tuesday," said Kumar Digvijay.
