Doorstep Delivery Scheme to give 100 services for Delhiites

New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his initiative to provide enhanced services to the people of the city announced the addition of 30 more services under the 'Doorstep Delivery of Public Services' scheme on Friday. With the addition of 30 services to the existing 70 services, the initiative will enable citizens in Delhi to avail 100 government services at their doorstep. First by visiting the government offices, where the success rate is 57 per cent and 43 per cent applications get rejected. The third is doorstep delivery, where the success rate is 91 per cent and only 9 per cent applications get rejected. The 'Doorstep Delivery of Public Services' scheme is implemented by the Administrative Reforms Department of the Delhi government.

New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his initiative to provide enhanced services to the people of the city announced the addition of 30 more services under the Doorstep Delivery of Public Services scheme on Friday. The scheme was launched last year. With the addition of 30 services to the existing 70 services, the initiative will enable citizens in Delhi to avail 100 government services at their doorstep. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot were also present on the occasion. The 30 new services have been added in six different departments like Delhi Pharmacy Council, Delhi Transport Corporation, Labour Department, Women and Child Development, Transport Department, and Drugs Control Department. The Chief Minister, speaking on the occasion, said, "This revolutionary initiative in governance has been successful for the last fifteen months. Now, there are three ways to get things done at government offices in Delhi. First by visiting the government offices, where the success rate is 57 per cent and 43 per cent applications get rejected. Secondly, by applying online, wherein 45 per cent applications get cleared while 55 per cent get rejected. The third is doorstep delivery, where the success rate is 91 per cent and only 9 per cent applications get rejected. This is due to the involvement of Mobile Sahayaks which ensures that all documents are complete and attached in the right order along with the applications." The key performance indicators of the scheme show that out of 16,31,772 calls received (calls attended are 16,10,732 and call back to unattended calls go up to 21,040), 2,89,762 service requests are booked and visit of Mobile Sahayak made, out of the 2,78,870 applications submitted, documents were incomplete in 10,892 while 2,64,927 applications were disposed of till December this year. The current disposal rate is 95 per cent and the remaining 5 per cent is under process. The top ten services under the scheme are – Issuance of caste (OBC) certificate (21 per cent), Issuance of caste (SC) certificate (19 per cent), Issuance of Income certificate (17 per cent), Learners license (8 per cent), Issuance of Domicile certificate (5 per cent), Registration of Marriage (2.5 per cent), Issuance of AAY/Priority household card (2 per cent), Issuance of delayed birth order (1.8 per cent), Issuance of surviving member certificate (0.82 per cent) and Issuance of caste (ST) certificate (0.43 per cent). The Doorstep Delivery of Public Services scheme is implemented by the Administrative Reforms Department of the Delhi government.
