Students did not give call for protest says Vice Chancellor

New Delhi: The Students of the Jamia Millia Islamia University did not give the call for Sunday's protest. Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar, said, "I have been told that a call was given from colonies nearby Jamia to march towards Jullena in South-East Delhi. "The Police could not differentiate between the protesters and students sitting in the library. Many students and staff were injured. I hope for peace and safety of our students", the V-C further said.

New Delhi: The Students of the Jamia Millia Islamia University did not give the call for Sundays protest. Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar, said, "I have been told that a call was given from colonies nearby Jamia to march towards Jullena in South-East Delhi. They clashed with police and got inside campus after breaking the gate of the University". "The Police could not differentiate between the protesters and students sitting in the library. Many students and staff were injured. There was so much ruckus that Police could not take permission. I hope for peace and safety of our students", the V-C further said.
