New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has finished the two internal surveys based on which the party will decide the names of candidates for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. The list of candidates is expected to be announced in the second week of January, next year. In both these surveys, the party has focused on different aspects like the work done, use of MLA fund, participation in debates of Vidhan Sabha, performance on the ground, reports of corruption, public image, and other factors. However, sources confirmed that the party will not try to change the major portion of the sitting MLAs. Roughly 15-20 new candidates are expected in the upcoming election while a majority of the sitting MLAs will get another chance. The party will mostly depend on the internal surveys regarding the MLAs and the final decision will be taken after consulting the National Convener of AAP – Arvind Kejriwal – and other party leaders will be consulted too. Indian Political strategist, Prashant Kishor, will help the AAP by helping in setting the agenda and the political narrative in order to combat the political narrative of the BJP after the decisions taken by the BJP-led Centre governement in matters like, CAB and Kashmir, and also other important steps taken by the Centre. The Delhi CM tweeted, "Happy to share that I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee) is coming on-board with us. Welcome aboard!"
