New Delhi: Delhis daily positivity rate on Saturday declined to 10.58 per cent after recording a massive spike in the rate in the middle of June. Moreover, as Delhi reported 2,632 fresh recoveries, the recovery rate here went beyond 70 per cent with a total of 68,256 recovered patients in the city now. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter to congratulate all "Corona warriors" for achieving this feat. He said, "Due to the efforts of Delhis 2 crore people, the hard work has paid off. Congratulations to all corona warriors for taking the recovery rate of Delhi to over 70 per cent. We all need to work hard to defeat corona." Moreover, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also compared Delhis recovery rate to the national recovery rate, which is at 60.81 per cent. Sisodia also took to Twitter to inform that out of 97,200 patients, 68,256 have been cured. According to Saturdays official health bulletin, 2,505 fresh cases were recorded taking the tally to 97,200. For the seventh consecutive day, Delhi has recorded fresh cases in the range of 2,000. The Delhi government added that there were now 25,940 active cases, with 16,004 of these recovering under home isolation. However, with 55 deaths added to the toll in the last 24 hours, COVID-19 fatalities here have reached 3,004. Furthermore, the total number of tests in the city has reached 6,20,386 tests, of which 23,673 were conducted in the last 24 hours. Besides, the number of available beds for Coronavirus patients is inching towards 10,000 with currently a total of 9,761 beds vacant. The Delhi government said that the containment zones in the Capital had risen to 448 on Saturday.
