Delhi yet to receive monsoon, but rainfall likely

However, there is a possibility of a dust storm with a speed of 40-50 kmph.

Due to this, the maximum temperature can drop by up to three degrees. After this, very light rain is forecast for the next three days. This spell of rain will continue till June 18.

After that the temperature may increase by one to two degrees.

The Meteorological Department had predicted moderate rain and wind speed reaching 40 kmph on Monday as well. But the scorching sun made people sweat a lot throughout the day.

It didn`t rain till late in the evening. On Monday, the maximum temperature has recorded a notch below normal at 38.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 39 degrees in Lodi Road and 38.7 degrees in Palam.

According to the Meteorological Department, conditions remain favorable for the advance of Southwest Monsoon into parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab in the next 48 hours.
