Petrol-Diesel price hiked again, close to Rs 100 mark in all major cities

Fuel prices have once again hiked today after remaining stable on Monday. The price of petrol has increased by 28 paise and that of diesel by 26 paise per litre.

The common man is already carrying the weight of an ailing economy amid the lockdown, now the continuous increase in the prices of petrol-diesel prove to be the final nail in the coffin.

Fuel prices have touched an all-time high after today`s fresh hike.
After today`s increase, now the price of petrol per litre in Delhi is Rs 97.50 and diesel is Rs 88.23.

Petrol in Mumbai has increased by Rs 103.63 and diesel by Rs 95.72 per litre today. Today, the price of petrol per litre in Kolkata is Rs 97.38 and the price of diesel is Rs 91.08. The new prices of petrol and diesel in Chennai today are Rs 98.65 and Rs 92.83 per litre respectively.
In Patna, petrol is being sold at Rs 99.75 per litre and diesel at Rs 93.56 per litre. Petrol is being sold at Rs 94.70 and diesel at Rs 88.64 per litre in Lucknow. At the same time, the price of petrol in Bhopal is running at Rs 105.72 per litre and diesel is being sold at Rs 96.93 per liter here.

Fuel prices have been hiked 28 times since the announcement of the election results on 3 May. The prices have been hiked on 28 days, while it remained stable on 25 days. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 7.18 per litre in this period itself, while diesel has also become costlier by Rs 7.45 per litre.
