Delhi MLAs run "Red Light on Car Off" campaign on red light, now councilors will also become partners

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai along with MLAs launched an awareness campaign at Chandgi Ram Akhara Red Light today. Rai said that the councilors of Delhi will run a public awareness campaign on October 25 at Barakhamba Road.

The Kejriwal government is making every effort to curb air pollution in Delhi. Preparations are being made to intensify the Red Light On-Gaadi Off campaign being run by the government.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai along with MLAs launched an awareness campaign at Chandgi Ram Akhara Red Light today. Rai said that the councilors of Delhi will run a public awareness campaign on October 25 at Barakhamba Road.

It is the effort of the Kejriwal government that the whole of Delhi should work together to reduce the pollution inside Delhi. He said that the matter of stubble burning incidents was taken up with the central and state governments. If the solution was sprayed responsibly, the farmer would not burn the stubble.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai along with MLAs visited Chandgi Ram Akhara Red Light. Under the Red Light On-Gaadi Off campaign, along with the MLAs, made people aware. During this, he said that the level of pollution had come down due to rain, because the burning of stubble had stopped around. Now the incidents of stubble burning will increase due to the rising of the sun. Certainly the effect of stubble burning will be on Delhi.

He said that our effort is to make people aware to stop the pollution that is created inside Delhi. This public participation campaign is going on under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal. We are taking this forward. Delhi MLAs have gathered here to make people aware. After this, on October 25, the councilor of Delhi will run a public awareness campaign on Barakhamba Road. It is our endeavor that the whole of Delhi should work together to reduce the pollution inside Delhi.

Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that Aam Aadmi Party MLAs are present here, but MLAs of other parties have not come. Information was given to all. The government is emphasizing on public participation and is running other campaigns including anti-dust campaign. Increase the participation of people in this and reduce their share of pollution together. Therefore, on October 25, together with the counselors, we will take this campaign forward.

He told that there will be a joint meeting with all the SDMs and DPCCs of Delhi tomorrow. Will take this campaign down to the mohalla level. In the meeting tomorrow, based on the decision, we will run this campaign on a large scale inside Delhi by making an action plan.

Gopal Rai said that the pollution of stubble cannot be reduced by applying GRAP. Talked to the central government and the state government about the diagnosis of stubble, there has been negligence in it. If the bio-decomposer was sprayed with responsibility, the farmer would not burn the stubble.
